AI-Powered Energy Efficiency Startup Remus Energy (formerly Lumian Energy) Raises Investment at a 6M USD Valuation

The US-based energy efficiency startup Lumian has entered the Turkish electricity supply market under its new brand name, Remus Energy. The startup has successfully completed its bridge investment round at a $6 million valuation, with participation from DOMiNO Ventures and Cleantech Ventures.

With the new structure, Remus Energy obtained its electricity supply license and began operations

Lumian, which develops software solutions focused on energy efficiency, restructured its operations in Turkey and obtained an electricity supply license under the new brand name Remus Energy. With this move, the company entered the market as an innovative and technology-driven player.

Next-generation supply with a digital infrastructure

Remus Energy transforms electricity supply processes into a flexible, transparent, and highly controllable structure through its fully digital operational model. The system, capable of digitally managing millions of subscribers at low operational costs, ensures that energy supply processes become both efficient and sustainable.

More than just supply

Remus Energy does more than provide electricity; it offers digital support to customers in monitoring real-time energy consumption, analyzing saving potentials, and achieving sustainability goals. This makes energy management data-driven and strategic.

Proven performance, ambitious goals

Over the past two years, Lumian has provided energy management services to nearly 2,000 facilities owned by 75 corporate clients. Now operating as Remus Energy, the company aims to supply 50,000 MWh of green energy by the end of 2025.

The investment will not only accelerate Remus Energy’s growth in Turkey but also support the development of digital solutions aimed at reducing carbon emissions and increasing the company’s role in regional energy markets.

Levent Şahiner, Co-Founder of Remus Energy, shared the following statement about the investment process and their vision:

“We aim to make energy supply not only accessible but also efficient, sustainable, and trackable. Thanks to our software-based infrastructure, we offer our customers operational flexibility, low costs, and high control. With the new investment round, we aim to accelerate our growth.”
